The reference photo I used for this pastel portrait of
my great nephew was a just a snap shot of he and his
siblings — but the lighting on him was excellent.

There was both direct light on his face and some bounced
light from the walls around him making everything really easy to
see and giving some nice reflected light on his face and hair.
