2016 Sketchbook Drawing: "Uncle Chad"

My friend chad—who is normally a "gentle giant"—took a picture of himself
looking stern as a "protective uncle"—to send to his niece's young boyfriend.
☺

I loved the pic (which revealed a side of him I'd not not often seen)
and asked if I could use it as a reference for a drawing—adding elements
from my imagination I felt represented his exuberant personality.
