So we're hading into a cooler fall after a blistering
summer season
here in the desert wasteland I call home : ) and
I've been busy digitally painting up a couple of older sketches.
On Halloween a few years back I found myself watching
a number of old B & W movies like 'The Mummy,' 'The Wolf
Man,'
Invisible Man,' and 4 of the Frankenstein movies with Boris
Karloff playing in his iconic Frankenstein's 'monster' role.
Afterwards, I went out to sketch and drew a cartoony
version of Karloff's iconic 'monster' — looking like he'd just come
come from his job and still wearing a name tag saying, 'Hello, my
name is FRANK' —
and you can see that original sketch here.
For the digital painting of that sketch I added an appropriate
background and reduced his name tag to say just 'Frank.'
I know this is a little early for Halloween 2024 — but
wanted to share now it anywho.
