April 2025 - 'WORTH IT! - The Honey Thief'

My third digital Painting in April 2025.

This one also began as a pencil sketch I drew
one afternoon in a Greek cafe while enjoying a Gyro.

Started as a just a random 'scribble' — a character
fleeing from an angry bee swarm began to emerge.

Later I returned to the cafe and discovered
they were using tables left over from a Chinese restaurant
that used to be at that location— they had a flower design
with bees flitting from pedal to pedal — and that
clearly had an unconscious impact on me.

Thinking back after finishing this painting I
realize that the colors and background are also
similar to the design on those tables — making
another unconscious connection to that day.
